TILT Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:TLLTF) took over Standard Farms Ohio LLC on March 16, 2021. The takeover allows access to 52 operating dispensaries in Ohio.
High-quality products for the medical cannabis market
The CO2 extraction facility and custom-built 9,600 sq. Ft. processing facility is ideally situated outside Cleveland. Its product line comprises vaporization cartridges, tinctures, topical, and syringes for the medical cannabis market. Standard Farms will expand its products to include edibles and concentrates.
President of Tilt, Gary Santo, said the deal allows the company to offer premium products to LPs, MSOs, and cannabis retailers by expanding Standard Farms in Ohio.
With this takeover, Tilt can now maintain plant-touching operations in the three rapidly growing licensed markets. Gary said the company is excited to offer a variety of brands to the customers in Ohio through 52 dispensaries.
Ohio holds 160,000 registered medical patients. The state represented a growth of 290% to $277 million in revenues in 2020.
Strengthens marketing and human resources
Tilt strengthened its marketing leadership and human resources by inducting Roseann Valencia-Fernandez as VP (Marketing) and Darryl K. Henderson, J.D. as SVP (HR).
Roseann will engage in the development, planning, and execution of Tilt’s marketing strategies. Henderson is responsible for managing HR activities across the world and in the US. Gary said strengthening leadership is vital to promote the company’s growth and successfully execute strategic initiatives.
By hiring top talent, Tilt expects to achieve growth both in the long-term and short-term. Gary said both Roseann and Henderson are instrumental in shaping the corporate culture externally and internally.
Henderson will contribute over 30 years of experience in various roles like a business management consultant, chief employment compliance officer, HR executive, entrepreneur, and commercial lawyer. As a President at Keith Consulting Group, Henderson is well conversant with the cannabis industry since 2014.
Roseann brings over two decades of experience in cannabis marketing. She also holds a strong foundation in e-commerce, digital marketing, and product development. In her previous stints, Roseann lead marketing campaigns worldwide, budget development, and growth strategies at Advanced Nutrients. She also worked as head of e-commerce, digital, marketing, and CBD innovation at Hain Celestial.
