Tilray Inc.’s (NASDAQ: TLRY) Germany subsidiary, Aphria RX GmbH, has concluded the first medical cannabis harvest grown in German for supply to pharmacies. This is the first medical marijuana harvest from the company’s state-of-the-art EU GMP growing facility in Neumunster in Germany.

Tilray completes first medical marijuana harvest in Germany

A distributor on the German Cannabis Agency’s behalf conducted the distribution of the medical cannabis per narcotic and pharmaceutical requirements. This underscores the company’s operational excellence and foothold within the European medical cannabis market.

Tilray’s Chief Strategy Officer Denise Faltuschek said, “Our harvest in Germany represents an important milestone in granting access to high-quality and trustworthy medical cannabis to patients and healthcare professionals in Germany. It is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our team that, despite the challenges of a global pandemic, we remained on track as the first licensed producer to cultivate medical cannabis in Germany. Our achievement would not have been possible without the trust and cooperation of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Germany Cannabis Agency, for which we are sincerely grateful.”

Tilray launches new product in collaboration with Broken Coast Cannabis

The company has announced that it’s SweetWater Brewing Company has launched a new product partnership with Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. “Broken Coast BC  Lager” is the first cross-brand product developed through the partnership between Broken Coast and SweetWater.

Tilray CEO Irwin Simon said, “We’re here to build great brands that deliver products consumers enjoy, and we look forward to having some fun along the way. This cross-collaboration between SweetWater and Broken Coast is the first among many milestones in our growth and execution strategy to introduce our great Canadian cannabis brands in the U.S. and connect our consumers to other brands in our portfolio.”
