Police In Seattle Uncover A Secret Marijuana Garden After Break In

The Seattle police department has reported that officers discovered a secret marijuana cultivation garden which they came across accidentally while responding to a break in.

The incident took place when police officers were alerted about an ongoing break-in at the Page Ahead offices. The officers found a large hole in the wall of the building when they arrived. Page Ahead director Susan Dibble stated that from the looks of the break in, the perpetrators were aware of the location of whatever they were after and they were quite determined. When the police officers went in through the hole in the wall, they were surprised to find a marijuana growth operation with more than 500 marijuana plants.

The burglars had smashed through another wall to get to the office adjacent to Page Ahead to gain access to the marijuana plants. Police officers also believe that the thieves only got away with cannabis plants leaving behind about 531 plants. The plants were seized by the police department, but the smell of marijuana remains in the Page Ahead offices.

Dibble reported that nothing was taken from her non-profit organization, and she expressed relieve because she was worried when she received a call about the matter. She also stated that the organization will work on sealing the hole in the wall so that they can move forward from the ordeal. Detectives are still trying to determine the circumstances behind the robbery as well as the marijuana operation. The have also called on anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.

The robbery could quite possibly have been the result of a rivalry between two illegal marijuana growers and one party decided to sabotage the other considering the fact that they only took two plants and nothing else. However, that is just speculation, and nothing has been confirmed so far. The police are now trying to find whoever was running the marijuana operation, and that could be the best lead towards solving the case.
