Organigram Holdings Inc (CVE:OGI) And Advanced Extraction Systems Inc. To Establish CO2 SFE Systems

Organigram Holdings Inc (CVE:OGI) and Advanced Extraction Systems Inc. reported the completion of a deal to establish the first in a series of CO2 Supercritical Fluid Extraction Systems for manufacturing premium cannabis extracts on a commercial level.
The highlights
David Campbell, the COO of AESI, reported that they are extremely thrilled to be expanding their product offering and launching newest high capacity extraction mechanism with Organigram. Through their work with Organigram they have advanced a compact, high-throughput CO2 extraction system with capacity of processing more than 5000 kg’s of crop material annually.
AESI’s extraction systems range between 2 x 15 L and 3 x25 L which will fulfill future and present processing capacity needs of approved manufacturers of cannabis in North America. This latest high-throughput extraction mechanism is anticipated to be up and functioning at OGI by August 2017.
CO2 extraction results in toxin free oil extracts for the international medicinal pot market. Unlike organic solvent extraction processes, CO2 extraction is green and clean and is quickly turning the gold base for residual free cannabis extracts.
Michel Robichaud reported that it is a major investment for Organigram. They consider extracts and oils as vital to the future of the cannabis market in Canada, and this association with AESI is the next measure in trailblazing the segment.
The company has recently reported the advancement of a 15,000 square feet advanced production facility committed to the commercial processing and manufacturing of derivative and cannabis oil products. Robichaud added that their selection of AESI was a convenient one dependent on their scientific and technical knowledge, and a geographical benefit that will support their close working association.
AESI is the first Canadian firm currently manufacturing and designing competitively priced, expandable automated and modular CO2 extraction equipment for the medicinal pot industry in Canada, and is presently expanding to the U.S. and Latin American markets.
