Medical Cannabis by Shoppers Inc (MCS) and UHN (University Health Network) selected Medipharm Labs Corp (OTCMKTS:MEDIF) to track the medical-use cannabis products using blockchain technology.

VP (Business Development and Cannabis Strategy) of Shoppers Drug Mart, Ken Weisbord, said MCS is excited to enter into a pact with a trusted name in the cannabis industry – Medipharm for this groundbreaking research project. MCS already has a proven commercial relationship with Medipharm. He further said the success of this R & D project will depend on collaboration with Shoppers on board, TruTrace Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:TTTSF), Medipharm, and UHN.

Integrates secured software platform with MCS portal

TruTrace developed a secured software platform using blockchain technology and integrated with the portal of MCS to manage, track, and locate the medical cannabis strains in 7 unique products of Medipharm. The platform will track extracts and oils of Medipharm in each step in the supply chain.
