Isodiol International Inc. (OTCMKTS:LAGBF) an international cannabis innovator specializing in the advancement of consumer and pharmaceutical products reported that it has finalized a licensing deal with Canopy Growth Corp (TSE:WEED).
Canopy Growth is the premier cannabis firm that operates a collection of varied brands and curated strain types, supported by more than half a million square feet of greenhouse and indoor production capacity. As per the licensing deal, the company will have the right to produce and supply the Company’s “Pot-O-Tea” and “Pot-O-Coffee” branded pot infused single serve ‘K-Cup’ offerings in Canada and specific other markets globally as federal regulations permit.
Licensed products comprise de-caffeinated and caffeinated product lines as well as Isodiol International’s single serve “Pot-O-Coco”. Besides the Canadian rights, Canopy Growth will have the right of initial refusal to sell the “Pot-O” brand offerings in any territory outside of the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico.
Marcos Agramont, the CEO of Isodiol, reported that this distribution deal has them positioned to increase their international footprint with the leading cannabis firm in the world. They will continue to advance their Pot-O-Coffee lines with cold brew and ready to drink offerings while working with Canopy for global distribution channels. The ‘Pot-O-Coffee’ brand is extremely recognized, and adding more offerings to this line will continue to solidify its market presence.
The accessibility of the numerous licensed offerings in Canada and elsewhere will vary based on applicable regulation and laws. While Canadian law doesn’t allow the sale and manufacture of marijuana infused products, the firm expects that such offerings will be allowed in the near future.
Moreover, currently proposed guidelines which would allow the sale of infused offerings, would not permit such products to comprise both caffeine and marijuana. As such, the particular offerings in Canada and other places may be limited. The firm will offer additional updates as guidelines are adopted and as product launch plans are advanced.
