Emerald Health Therapeutics (OTCMKTS:EMHTF) entered a partnership accord with Spain-based Medical Plants SLU. As per the terms of the pact, Medical Plants will receive the expertise and resources of Emerald Health to manufacture cannabis 2.0 products and dried flower to satisfy the growing demand for legal cannabis in the EU and other nations worldwide.
AEMPS approves Medical Plants
AEMPS (Spanish Drug and Healthcare Products Agency) approved Medical Plants in September 2020. Medical Plants became one of the medical cannabis manufacturers in Spain. The company expects to receive GMP certification for cannabis manufacture soon.
The partnership with Medical Plants is valid for three years initially. During this period, Emerald Health will provide its expertise in greenhouse construction, cannabis growing, and cannabis seeds to Medical Plants to establish manufacturing in the greenhouse.
Medical Plants will also receive product development expertise and technology from Emerald for cannabis 2.0 products. Emerald will have a non-obligatory right to buy cannabis dried flower strains manufactured at Medical Plants.
Purchase of GMP certified medical cannabis
Medical Plants will get high THC strain and high CBD strain from Emerald. CEO of Emerald Health, Riaz Bandali, said GMP certification is essential with several nations in Europe legalizes the use of cannabis. The deal allows the company to receive GMP-certified medical cannabis at reduced pricing without capital investment or obligation to purchase.
